SODAQ is an important player in the global Internet of Things industry. With a strong focus on low energy consumption, our devices can last for up to 10 years in the field on a single charge, or even longer using for instance solar panels. SODAQ’s works for a variety of industries, providing innovative GPS-trackers, and environmental sensing devices. With our recent decision to become the only ‘World-Friendly’ Internet of Things company we want to make our enclosures as sustainable as our technology.
We are looking for a graduation intern to help us create and implement a strategy for less environmental impact on the mechanical parts of our products. This includes the materials (plastics) we use, manufacturing techniques, changes in our design process, design for repairability and more. Anything that makes our devices more world-friendly.
This project offers the unique opportunity to help transition a real company producing tens of thousands of products yearly to become more sustainable. You will be expected to research the field of sustainable manufacturing, come with ideas, structure the transition, and oversee the initial implementation of them.
