Internship or Graduation Position: Life Cycle Assessment

SODAQ’s works for a variety of industries, providing innovative GPS-trackers, and environmental sensing devices. With our recent decision to become the only ‘World-Friendly’ Internet of Things company we want to make our enclosures as sustainable as our technology.
Position
SODAQ has an open internship position where the goal is to create a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that is as complete as possible for one of our key products, analysing its impact by tracing materials of enclosure and PCB back to the source.
Responsibilities
This project offers the unique opportunity to help a real company producing tens of thousands of products yearly to become more aware of its impact and learn from that. You will be expected to set up a Life Cycle Assessment for one of our products and map its impact.
Main Responsibilities:
- Studies: Industrial Ecology, Industrial Design Engineering, Materials Science
- Knowledge of and interest in research and performing an LCA
- Excellent research skills to select the right path forward
- Interest in product development for electronics
- Structured approach and attention to detail
